I have a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering with research interests in EEG-based Brain-Computer Interfaces, EEG signal processing, cognitive neuroscience, and neural engineering. The main objective of my Ph.D. research was to facilitate the practical application of ERP-based BCIs in real-world environments. To achieve this, I focused on identifying and mitigating cognitive interferences that deteriorate the usability of ERP-based BCIs. I examined the effects of various distracting factors, such as listening, speaking, and watching videos, on BCI performance and developed a novel multi-window adaptive model to enhance BCI usability in these challenging environments. I am further interested in how closed-loop BCIs would help people in need.
